Based on a personal experience in 2005, Dr Nick Hill developed the Sure Flap. After strange cats got into his house through the cat flap and terrorised his cat, he needed a practical solution. He didn't like the collar option, so he decided to develop a cat flap that could be opened by an implanted microchip.
