The Baskerville TPR muzzle is a further development of the well-known plastic muzzle. It is made of high-quality thermoplastic material and can therefore be moulded at higher temperatures. The material is much lighter than conventional plastic. This allows it to be optimally moulded to the dog's head and ensures an even better fit! The plastic is also characterised by its durability and good resistance .
When correctly fitted, the design allows the dog to drink while wearing it and, when correctly sized, ensures free breathing and panting. The nose section is lined with a felt pad for a comfortable fit.
The Baskerville muzzle is used as a training aid for behavioural training or for socialising rescued dogs.
Even the most well-behaved dog sometimes needs the protection of a muzzle, which is why the comfort and well-being of the wearer is a top priority in the manufacture of the "Standard" muzzle.
Why does a dog need a muzzle?
It is usually compulsory on public transport. It also
prevents the dog from picking up unfamiliar objects from the floor and, for example, from using its teeth when visiting the vet.
The advantages of the lightweight plastic muzzle!
It is ergonomically shaped and
available in various sizes. An additional food guard (removable) ensures greater safety. The material is particularly low-maintenance and easy to clean.
How can I mould the muzzle?
Place the muzzle in hot water for about 2 minutes. Then mould the muzzle so that it fits your dog perfectly. To maintain the new shape, simply place the muzzle in cold water. Then test the fit and repeat the process if necessary.
How do I determine the right size?
Measure the length of the nose, starting approx. 2 cm below the eyes up to the tip of the nose! As a rule of thumb, add approx. 0.6 cm to the measured value so that the muzzle does not press against the dog's nose.
Then measure the circumference of the muzzle at the widest point. Add enough so that the dog can open its mouth well for panting and drinking.

How do I determine the correct size?
Length: measured approx. 1-2cm below the eyes to the tip of the nose (add approx. 0.5 -1cm so that the dog does not hit the front of the muzzle)
Circumference: measured at the widest part of the mouth (allow enough space for the dog to pant, yawn and drink).
