The material of the waistcoat can absorb water very well and thus keeps the four-legged friend cool through evaporative cooling - and that even over a longer period of time! This can help protect the animal from overheating and prevent dangerous heat stroke.
The waistcoat is also treated with Repeltec. This reduces both bites and infestation with pests. The zebra colouring is not just a visual highlight - studies have proven effectiveness against certain mosquitoes just by the black/white colouring.
The Cool & Bug Vest can easily be put on over a chest harness, as it has a line opening with a zipper.
How does the cooling effect of the vest work?
The waistcoat must be dipped in cold water before use. Then simply squeeze out the excess water carefully and the waistcoat is ready for use.
The cooling vest is particularly easy to use. It is pulled over the dog's head and closed with an adjustable strap under the belly with a click buckle. The neck area is also adjustable and can therefore be optimally adapted to the dog's body.
Safety note:
Heat stroke is a life-threatening medical emergency. Please bear in mind that the product alone is not enough to protect against it. The dog should be closely monitored, especially in warm weather. Likewise, in hot weather, excessive exercise should be avoided and adequate hydration should be provided.
