The range of nesting aids is far wider than is widely known. When installing nest boxes, the following should be observed: do not place them in the blazing sun or completely in the shade, do not point the flight hole towards the weather side and do not hang them in dense branches so that a free approach is possible. In the case of an aviary or cage, ensure good placement and pay attention to the use of nesting material: sawdust is only useful when the young birds are larger and soil the nest box more.
